Committee on Special Education
Alexandria Central School provides a number of services for students with special needs. We offer services in our building that include special education services, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, deaf education, and counseling. At ACS, we recognize that all students learn differently and that some children require individualized programming and accommodations in order to learn effectively.
Special Education Services are available for eligible children ages 3-21 years. There are a number of agencies and private therapists who offer services for preschool-age children. Services for children who are school-age are provided in our building at Alexandria Central, or in a neighboring District through a BOCES-contracted classroom, depending upon level of need. For more information or if you have any questions about special education or 504 services, feel free to contact Pam Monica, CPSE/CSE Chairperson,at 482-9971, ext. 2100 or Stacie Lambert, CPSE/CSE Office, at 482-9971 ext. 3.
