Dear Community of Alexandria Central School District,

As we move confidently through the 2025–2026 school year, I want to acknowledge the excellent year we have experienced across our district. Nearing my second year as Superintendent—and my fifth year serving the Alexandria Central School District—I am grateful for the collective commitment that defines our school community. As I begin my sixteenth year in public education, I am reminded that meaningful progress is achieved when we embrace change with purpose and work together toward shared goals.

Last spring, in partnership with our staff, community stakeholders, and the Board of Education, we established three priority goals to guide our Strategic Plan: creating engaging experiences for students, fostering a supportive and rewarding environment for staff, and strengthening connections within our school community. The progress we have seen so far this year affirms that these priorities are not only well-defined, but actively taking shape in our classrooms, hallways, and shared spaces.

I am pleased to share leadership updates as we continue to strengthen a cohesive and effective administrative team. Mrs. Peabody is now well into her second year as Elementary Principal, where her steady leadership and commitment to students and staff are evident throughout our elementary program. At the secondary level, Mrs. Giaquinto has quickly established herself in her first year as Secondary Principal, bringing thoughtful leadership, strong relationships, and a clear focus on student success that continues to positively influence our school community.

In addition, we are encouraged to welcome several new faculty members to the Alexandria Central School community. Their energy, expertise, and fresh perspectives are already enhancing our instructional programs and enriching the overall school experience for our students.

The strong momentum we are experiencing this year is a reflection of the professionalism, care, and dedication demonstrated by our staff, the engagement of our families, and the support of our broader community. I am honored to continue this work alongside such committed individuals, and I look forward to the continued growth and opportunities that lie ahead for our students and our district.

Thank you for your continued trust, partnership, and belief in the future of the Alexandria Central School District.

Let's Go Ghosts!

Sincerely,

Robert Fountain
