Sheena Peabody
Elementary Principal
Hello, Alexandria Central Students, Staff, and Community!
My name is Sheena Peabody and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the PreK-6 Elementary Principal. Joining you with ten years of experience in elementary teaching, I am excited to help foster a learning environment that is student-centered, engaging, safe, and fun! I embark on this journey with excitement, passion for elementary education, and a commitment to supporting all of you to ensure success for our students.
I am currently working on my Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from SUNY Oswego with anticipated graduation in 2025. I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 2013 and Special Education in 2015 from SUNY Potsdam. My goal is to build strong relationships and work together to ensure we provide the best educational experience that shapes our students into lifelong learners who are prepared to meet challenges with tenacity and positivity.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have two little girls who keep us very busy! We like to get outside and play as much as possible. Our girls love swimming in the pool and going to the beach. We enjoy reading stories together each night and taking family trips. I look forward to getting to know each of you and working together to help our students learn and grow.
