Vocal Music

I would like to welcome all my returning students, and welcome to our new ones, as well! The music room is a place where I hope you all come to enjoy learning about music, performing, and of course - having FUN! I am so excited to have full concerts back in the mix again, and look forward to sharing our music making with families and community members! I am always here if ever there is a question or concern!

My goal is for all students to feel welcome, celebrated, seen and heard! Mrs. Taylor graduated from SUNY Potsdam, Crane School of Music with a Bachelors 1997 and Masters in Music 2002. She began working at ACS in 1997. She teaches PK - 6 General Music, 5th & 6th grade choral music, 7-12 Concert Choir, 9 - 12 Select Choir, and I have taught Music Theory & Theatre Classes, as well. She also directs the annual school musical and serves as co-advisor for the GSA "Pride Alliance!"

Mrs. Taylor is a professional musician, so music  is huge part of her life in school and out. She directs Northern Blend Chorus, current International Champions of Harmony, Inc., sings in a quartet, "Roulette," current 4th place International medalists, and has 3 past championships with quartets - "For Heaven's Sake" (1996), "U4X" (2008) and "LiveWire" (2015). Mrs. Taylor also gives private voice lessons. She loves to travel and spend time with her husband, and enjoys relaxing with a book and sunshine!
