Kerry Bearup

“My goal as the Pre-K Teacher, is to make sure my classroom offers every child, a safe and social learning environment that promotes kindness, confidence, creativity, empathy, respect, and curiosity.”

Mrs. Bearup received her Associate of Arts degree from J.C.C., Bachelor of Arts/English Literature from SUNY Potsdam, and her Master's degree in Elementary Education from Potsdam State. She began her teaching career in 1995 and joined ACS the following year as a Kindergarten teacher and taught Kindergarten for 15 years before moving to ACS’s Universal Pre-Kindergarten program. While at ACS she has been a class advisor, taught summer school, worked as a part of Ghost Academy, and often is at ACS events as a volunteer or chaperone.

Mrs. Bearup loves being outside in nature…planting and working in her flower gardens. One of biggest joys is her collection of children’s books and being able to read-aloud and instill a love of reading with her students.
