After graduating from ACS, Mrs. Durand went on to SUNY Cortland to pursue a degree in Psychology. She then spent seven years working for the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Council as a Student Assistance Counselor in the General Brown School District. There she fell in love working with students in the school setting and decided to pursue a Master’s of Education in School Counseling at St. Lawrence University. Before joining ACS 2021, she spent five years as a school counselor at Carthage Middle School. Mrs. Durand lives in Alexandria Bay with her husband and two children. When they aren’t traveling to and from the hockey rink or the soccer and lacrosse fields, you can find her running, being outdoors, traveling, or boating on the river.
