Robert Fountain
Superintendent of Schools
Dear Community of Alexandria Central School District,
As I begin my second year as Superintendent—and my fifth year serving the Alexandria Central School District—I do so with deep gratitude and continued excitement for the work ahead. Entering my sixteenth year in public education, I am reminded that change, when embraced with purpose, brings growth and opportunity—and together, we are leaning into that truth as we move forward as a district and as a community.
Last spring, in collaboration with our staff, community stakeholders, and the Board of Education, we developed three priority goals to guide our Strategic Plan: creating an engaging experience for students, fostering a supportive and rewarding experience for staff, and building a connected school community. These commitments will guide our efforts not only this year, but also in the years ahead, keeping us focused on what matters most—our people.
I am thrilled to share leadership updates as we continue to strengthen our team. We are excited to welcome back Mrs. Peabody for her second year as Elementary Principal, where her dedication and leadership will continue to make a lasting impact. Equally, we are eager to welcome Mrs. Giaquinto as she begins her first year as Secondary Principal. Her passion and expertise will be invaluable as we work together to build on the strong foundation already in place.
We are also excited to welcome many new faculty members who will be joining the ACS community this year. We are grateful for the perspectives, talents, and energy you demonstrate. Your contributions will strengthen our team and enrich the learning experiences of our students, as well as the life of our school community.
I am honored to continue leading ACS alongside such talented colleagues, dedicated staff, and a supportive community. Together, we will embrace change, pursue growth, and create new opportunities for our students. Thank you for your trust, your partnership, and your belief in the future of Alexandria Central School.
Let's Go Ghosts!
Sincerely,
Robert Fountain
