You will need to bring these things the first day of school.

1 sturdy back pack
5 one subject notebooks
1 five subject notebook
2 pocket folders
 loose leaf paper
1 space saver box to keep the next things in

• pens (blue or black ink)
• pencils
• glue or glus stick
• scissors (You'll want large, sharp ones)
• highlighters (at least 2 colors)
• colored pencils (for maps)
• a ruler

one box of kleenex (you can bring this anytime)

Headphones if possible. (It's more hygenic than sharing) 

Please, don't buy ring binders or trapper keepers.  They can't be stored in 
your desk and you won't be able to get ready for classes fast enough
if you use them.

• Fifth graders have to change for P.E. and will need to have a pair of gym shorts and a shirt to keep in their gym lockers.
• This is the first year for Band and Chorus.  Be thinking about what instrument you might want to start playing.
• Practice your cursive writing.  All 5th grade work is done in cursive.
• The P.A.C.E. organization provides every 5th grader with an agenda planner which you will use every day.
• Students in will be expected to read at least 15 minutes every night from a chapter book and have their planner signed by an adult with the time and title.
