![]() Alexandria Central School invites its families to march together behind the school band in the Memorial Day parade to show support for our troops. Interested families, decked out in red, white, and blue, should be at school by 10:30 AM on Memorial Day. Samantha, a sixth grade student in Mrs. Legg's class was awarded First prize in the "Be Aware of New York Agriculture" contest sponsored by the Jefferson County Farm Bureau. Over 100 students from around the county participated by writing essays about where their food comes from and how they are part of the food system. Along with a framed certificate, Samantha won $50.
